A welding transformer with drooping voltage-current characteristic comprising a split magnetic core wound from transformer plate, and separated primary and secondary windings. In the core window, a moving shunt of the magnetic flux is provided between the secondary and primary windings. Where the magnetic flux passes from the core into the magnetic flux shunt, the core is provided with spacing blocks made from transformer plate. Laminations of these spacing blocks are so arranged in relation to the core plate that the magnetic flux does not cross the plane of the core plates but flows towards the magnetic shunt.

The invention relates to welding transformers with a cold-rolled transformer steel magnetic core, provided with a magnetic flux shunt and with a falling external characteristic designed to power the welding arc.
In known welding transformers, the magnetic circuits consist of shaped parts.
Known welding transformers with tape magnetic conductors of cold-rolled transformer steel, equipped with magnetic flux shunts, but very low-power 1.
In a tape magnetic circuit, the magnetic flux, the passage to the shunt, crosses the planes of the steel sheets, induce eddy currents in them, causing excessive heating of the magnetic conductor near the shunt of the magnetic flux. This phenomenon eliminates the possibility of using tape magnetic circuits in welding transformers of medium and high power. In low-power transformers with a tape magnetic core, temperature increases in the magnetic core are allowed, but there is an additional loss of power, which entails a decrease in efficiency.
The aim of the invention is to reduce the cost of manufacture and improve the energy and welding characteristics of each column of the magnetic circuit.
This is achieved by inserting inserts made of electrical steel plates into the location of the magnetic flux site, and the insert plates are located perpendicular to the magnetic core plates.

The welding transformer consists of a magnetic core 1, a primary winding 2, a secondary winding 3, one or two magnetic shunts 4 and inserts 5. The magnetic flux, turning from the magnetic core 1 into the magnetic shunt 4, all the time through the inserts 5, flows through the cross section of a stable sheet and induces only minor eddy currents, due to which the temperature The magnetic circuit 1 near the magnetic shunt 4 does not exceed the temperature in the remaining parts of the magnetic circuit 1.

1. A welding transformer containing a split tape magnetic core rolled up from transformer steel, primary and secondary windings, and a magnetic flux shunt inserted into one or two core windows between the primary and secondary windings, characterized in that, in order to reduce the cost of manufacture and improving energy and welding characteristics; inserts made of electrical steel plates were inserted into each column of the magnetic core, at the location of the magnetic flux shunt.
